全体的に黒褐色のマーブル杢が特徴の一枚です。
千年家具が所蔵する数百枚のモンキーポッド丸太の中で、この丸太は極めてドラマチックで、他にはまず無いような有機的な魅力に溢れております。

ウォールナットと比較される事も多いモンキーポッドですが、ハワイ等の熱帯アメリカで生育して、現地では雨が降る前に葉が閉じる事からレインツリーとも呼ばれています。ウォールナットよりも色味の幅が広く、ドラマチックな板面が特徴です。丸太が無くなって来ていますので、この価格帯で買えるのは今だけです。
5-10年後にはウォールナット等とも変わらない価格水準になることが予測されます。
